Key component in numerous industries

Agitator technology is a key component in numerous industries and plays a central role in the production, processing and refinement of a wide range of products. From the chemical to the food industry, from pharmaceuticals to water treatment – agitators are indispensable tools that are used in almost every industry in which liquids, solids or gases have to be mixed, dispersed or homogenized.

The chemical industry is probably one of the most important areas of application for agitators. The requirements are high, as work is often carried out with aggressive chemicals and under extreme conditions. One trend in this area is increasing automation and digitalization, which makes it possible to control processes even more precisely and efficiently.

In the food industry, agitator technology is crucial for the manufacture of products with consistent quality and consistency. Here too, energy consumption is becoming more and more of an issue as the food industry strives for more environmentally friendly and sustainable production methods.

The demands placed on agitators in the pharmaceutical industry are particularly high. For example, special agitators are often used in this sector that can operate under clean room conditions and meet particularly strict hygiene regulations.

Agitator technology is also indispensable in water treatment. Here, agitators are used to dose chemicals, distribute flocculants or keep sediments in motion. The demands placed on agitators in this industry are diverse, as they often have to work under very different conditions – from drinking water treatment to sewage sludge treatment. An important trend in water treatment is the use of energy-efficient agitators, which help to reduce energy consumption in the plants and at the same time ensure a high cleaning performance.
